Put into service by the Ministry of Housing, Public Works and Vertebración del Territori, has an area of about 2700 square meters formed by the viewpoint and a stationary area. In the main area of the viewpoint we have benches where we can sit and enjoy the scenery. And in the two secondary areas we will have a recreational area formed by various street furniture such as picnic tables, banks and bins ... where you can spend the day enjoying nature.
In all the place we can see the presence of tree pits formed by walls of masonry repopulated with trees and shrubs typical of the area, such as junipers or holm oaks; or aromatic shrubs rosemary, lavender and thyme.
In addition to this, the Carrasqueta lookout has an authorized parking area for cars, motorcycles and bicycles that will allow the traveler to stop along the way to enjoy this beautiful enclave.
From La Carrasqueta Turrón Artesano we encourage you to get to know this beautiful place of our geography and we want to ask you for the collaboration when it comes to maintaining clean and in optimal conditions the viewpoint and its surroundings, so that we can all enjoy a natural landscape so pretty for a long time.
How to arrive to La Carrasqueta?
If we want to reach the carrasqueta from Alicante or from the coast in general, we must take the A-70 motorway towards Valencia or direction Murcia depending on the point where we are, and look for the incorporation to the CV-800 direction Mutxamel / Xixona .
Once we get on this road, we must follow the indications to Xixona / Alcoi, along the way we can see on the right as is the industrial estate of Jijona, where we can see the famous Factory of el Lobo. A little further on we will pass through the paella's revolt, a characteristic curve so called due to its almost circular shape.
After a few meters we will pass a sign indicating a detour to the right towards Xixona, this route would be the one we would take if we wanted to enter the town, but in our case we will continue straight to CV-800 Alcoi / Xixona (cementeri) stopping for a small bridge that leaves above the entrance road to the town.
We will continue by the CV-800 where we will start the climb to the port of la carrasqueta, once we have made the climb and we can see the sign of the port stop (port of La Carrasqueta 1020m), a few meters ahead we will have signposted the entrance to the viewpoint .
The weather in La Carrasqueta
A very important aspect to take into account are the weather conditions that we can find in the viewpoint; since a cloudy day can prevent us from enjoying the fantastic views of it.
Therefore, it is advisable to monitor the forecasts the days before making our visit.
We leave you below a couple of links from which you can check the weather in Jijona and the high port of Carrasqueta:

What to do in La Carrasqueta?
As a way to complete the visit to the viewpoint of the carrasqueta, we suggest a couple of hiking trails that start from a few meters of it and that will surely be of interest to all nature lovers:
Route Carrasqueta - Refuge of l'Esbarzerets. PR-128
Distance: 6.67km - Duration: 2h20min - Difficulty: Easy - Type: Circular
First of all, we have the route that starts a few meters further north of the viewpoint, to the Refugio de l'Ezbarzerets. It is a circular route, easy difficulty that lasts approximately 2 hours and 21 minutes and a route of about 6.67km. The cumulative difference is not very large, only about 230m.
Route Carrasqueta - Cuartel.
Distance: 15.45km - Duration: 4h40min - Difficulty: Easy - Type: Circular
Second, we have a slightly longer route than the previous 15.47km, and with a cumulative unevenness of just under 400m. It is a simple route that we can carry out as a family. This route does not make any summit, but runs through the mountains of La Carrasqueta and Cuartel between pine forests and some farmhouse. An idyllic landscape to relax and enjoy the environment.
As in the previous case, we will add the Wikiloc track made by another partner, which as we can see starts the Jijona Els Almeraders urbanization route, in our case as it is a circular route, we will NOT start the route from the urbanization, but we will start the route from its passage through the viewpoint of La Carrasqueta:
