Honey collected in areas where the eucalyptus flower (Eucalyptus) predominates. Equestrian honey is characterized by a woody aroma and a smell with balsamic notes, which makes it unmistakable. Light amber color, it gets darker depending on the presence of other species in the collection area such as heather or broom.
In the mouth it has a sweet taste with slight acid touches, very pleasant to the palate.

Eucalyptus honey from Spain
This type of honey is produced by bees that release eucalyptus flowers. Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus) is an evergreen tree that stands out for its great size (it can reach 60m in height) and especially for its characteristic aroma. This plant species, originally from Oceania, is currently found anywhere in the world, due to its great capacity to adapt to various terrains and climates. Currently, there is knowledge of the existence of around 700 different species of eucalyptus around the world.
The date of collection of eucalyptus honey is during the months of August and September, the months of flowering of eucalyptus. In Spain we can find this species in the provinces Huelva and Badajoz, although we can also find it west of the Cantabrian and in the Southern Mediterranean.
Its amber color can vary from lighter to darker shades depending on the content if the bees have also used heather nectar or broom. It is easy to differentiate it from the rest by its woody flavor and its delicate smell with balsamic notes. It is a honey that does not usually crystallize easily, and if it does, it forms very fine crystals.
The taste of honey in the mouth is very sweet and concentrated, with slight acid touches, not at all bothersome to the palate.
Like the rest of honey, eucalyptus honey La Carrasqueta, is raw honey of 100% natural origin. Unadulterated or pasteurized, which retains all the properties of honey.

Properties Eucalyptus Honey
Eucalyptus honey is one of the types of honey with the highest properties for the body. Nutritionally it stands out for its great contribution in vitamins A, C, D, B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6; and in minerals and trace elements such as magnesium, sodium, iron, phosphorus, calcium and potassium.
Due to these properties, it is attributed that, this type of honey can help in ailments related to the respiratory tract such as sore throat, cough, mucus, pharyngitis, sinusitis, asthma or influenza, due to its balsamic effect.
In addition to having antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties, especially of the urinary tract.
